What does it mean to be red pilled? Have such people come to reality as it really is?

>reality as it really is

semantically null collection of words.

there is no reality out there "in itself".

It's a phrase used by people who, in their heart of hearts, wish or believe they are a bastion of strength in an increasingly dark and strange world.

What about those types who browse pol for a few months then realise they are 'redpilled'? I'm looking for some armchair analysis of the mental processes that take place in these people's minds, being turned into racist lunatics.

Apparently it has something to do with a movie, probably the Matrix, where the veil of "lies" about racism, etc. comes off or some such shizznat. I bet it's an isolated phenomenon that probably goes away once losers get bored with channing.

it's not a thing

in the /pol/ sense anyway

Nearly everyone thinks they're red-pilled until they come across new information that expands or replaces the knowledge they have already acquired. Then they believe that this new information is the "red pill" or they end up like the following...

Those who aren't "red-pilled" are the ones who have enough knowledge and understanding to know that they can't be final with what they know because "what they know" is always changing. In other words, the ones who refuse to consider themselves red-pilled are usually the most knowledgeable and won't finalize their ideas because they understand the dynamic nature of ideas.

If you'd like to see this demonstrated in the wild, go to your local political news site, scroll down to the comments section and read some of comments. "Wake up!" is usually the word people who believe in the red pill use to show the urgency of their ideas as opposed to the more knowledgeable commenters who try to persuade you with reason.
