Hello /lit/ first time lurker here, I don't usually read books but I've decided to start reading a book since I've been depressed most of my life I'm starting to run out of things to keep my brain busy, what good books can you recommend me? I've only read "Catcher in the rye" which was a good book in my opinion, but I'd like to read something different, any suggestions? Thank you.

No, it was a book. It was about an old man I think, he helped people with the problems they had and then just dissapeared, not dissapeared but moved on unto the next person.

You sound like you'd enjoy V for Vendetta. It's a comic, but one of almost /lit/ standards.

I'm being serious. It's very good; look at some reviews if you don't believe me.

Now, please tell me you don't fucking talk/write like this normally? If so, cut out that pretentious bullshit right now, and read Orwell's short essay, Politics and the English Language:
