>miserable
>Kant

Are you kidding me? The man had popular lectures, popular dinner parties, never had to leave his cushy Konigsberg life and had enough vivacity to keep regular walks.

Maybe in some objective sense his life was lacking, but I doubt it was miserable.

>> No.3251912

Because he was a literary genius as well as being philosphically brilliant.

His life was also very interesting and in some ways poetically tragic.

Because he is, generally speaking, underrated. Note how much Nietzsche bookstores stock compared to Kierkegaard.

You are right , Kant was too autistic too enjoy regular pleasures. You can almost see a thranquility in his philosophical wording. On the other hand many say that the emotional relationship with his buttler and its desolution wighted on him. (homosexual guilt?)
Anyway although it has little philosophical relevance it is still pretty interesting to see how these giants lived their boring daily life.

Go to Denmark - Kierkegaard everywhere. Though probably still not greatly surpassing Nietzsche.

>>3252577
Read him or don't read him, you'll regret it either way.

yes, they are both more honest and artistic than sartre.

sartre is too autistic to notice his own wish-fulfillment fantasy.
