What are some great history books under 350 pages?

not sure on the page count for these but i've really liked them:

richard white - the middle ground
ned blackhawk - violence across the land
danielle mcguire - at the dark of the street

basically if you find books that have won the bancroft, the pulitzer, or an author who has won both, you are in for a good read
