Why does /lit/ only read in English?

I am In the process of learning Catalan and I was wondering if /lit/ had any suggestions for good books written in that language?

If not, can we just have a foreign language /lit/ thread?

I lived there from June until October in 2009 and I have been going there for about two weeks a year ever since. I have never been to any other part of Spain besides the Balearic Islands.

Quite difficult at first. The grammar is very different from european languages, just the way they write sometimes its hard to understand even when you know the meanings of the words.

>> No.3220827

>>3220542
There isn't really a tradition of fictional novels in arabic as in europe. So mostly non-fiction.

I accept that there are other languages which are more widely spoken, but my primary interest is Catalan culture (and, specifically, the culture of the vagina of a girl I know in Barcelona) so learning the language of Catalonia makes the most sense for me.
