So this cunt never traveled more than seventy miles out of his hometown and most-likely died a virgin. He thus wasn't all that experienced in life. How does this give him the qualifications and gall to write about how man should live?

Like how Nietzsche was a complete shut in with no friends, but somehow had great insight on humans?

You don't need to travel the world to understand humanity, or living. Whatever he was experienced with was obviously important to some. Whether you understand it or not is clearly irrelevant.

I think everyone on this thread is misunderstanding why Kant wrote what he did. He was not trying to provide an account of how you should live. He was giving an account of how a person should live, if they were to live ethically. He was not some fucking enlightened sage, he was just a very proficient philosopher.

monsieur, ça ne tient pas debout! i must digress, monsieur, regarding Kant's experience de la vie; is it not that this is the only life we can speak of, no? is not virgin, dead and shut-in our very Dasein, no? i cannot agree with you monsieur, i cannot! you do very much belittle our life experience-- are we not entitled to call this experience we experience: experience de la vie? are we not all, here, virgins and shut-ins? et comme ca, what is this Other you speak of, this real experience de la vie, this das Ding an sich? are our virginity and our "unreal" experience de la vie not our faculties - how can we disregard these! no monsieur, this time you are mistaken- and i have to digress in such a manner because of care, monsieur - because i value our friendship most dearly; "better three hours too soon than a minute too late", n'est pas, monsieur?

Actually, Kant is known to have literally drowned in pussy. He was quite a hot shot back then.

Still, most of philosophical work is bland and arbitrary, as has been pointed out here already.

Le masculin est cher. For example : "Vous apprenez vite, mon cher!" Where the subject vous is masculin.

Le féminin est chère. For example : "Ah, voilà ma chère pipe!" where the subject pipe is féminin.

Cher being an adjective in this case.

Hope that helped.
