What did you take from Fight Club?

>> No.3204266

That it blew.

>> No.3204264

That plot twists aren't enough to hold books together

>> No.3204280

That movie adaptations of books can indeed improve upon the original material.

>> No.3204361

It's cool to have fights in car parks

>> No.3204369

That anyone can change history.

>>3204264
This too.

>> No.3204382

That Palahniuk wrote better books

>> No.3204899

that i am not a beautiful or unique snow flake

>> No.3204909

'that was easy'

>> No.3204928

I learned that I would seriously enjoy a real life fight club. I want to get beat up really bad, and to beat someone up horribly, each just once in my life.

M-me too.

I'd beat the shit out of you, anon, if you'd do the same for me.

No strings attached.

Its fun to diss it and be edgy but really its a good film and book. I've seen it about three times, It has its own unique mood and inspiration, not many films have that.

>It has its own unique mood and inspiration, not many films have that

Except the thousands that do. David Fincher is shit-house

Totally false on both counts. There's no other film like it, and David Fincher did Seven and The Game, go back to /b, kthx

>> No.3205989

I remember reading Fight Club when I was like 17. Man, back then I thought Chuck Palahniuk was fucking amazing. He does have talent, and Fight Club is a good book, but it's pretty amazing to see how far I've come in like 5 years. I'll always have a special place in my heart for Chuck though, even though all he does is pump out a piece of shit a year. He really did get me into reading.

I feel the same way, but it's more like ten years for me.

>> No.3206036

I learn two plot devices:

1) multiple personality disorder
2) downward spiral/descending into chaos/worse situation

Erm ... that's not a plot device. That's a basic story arc. A story doesn't work without entropy/chaos.
