So for a final in one of my film classes I have to adapt a preexisting work into a screenplay format. I was going to do Something Wicked This Way Comes, but I wanted to put a feeler out.

Which books or short stories would you like to see adapted?

It's been done before, but on the subject of Ray Bradbury, I'd like to see an adaptation of Marionettes, Inc.

Chuck Pahlaniuk's (or however you write the guy) "Survivor".

Or "Steppenwolf", Hesse.

His short stories, in a twilight zone type format.
Specifically "Bang you're dead" and "The smiling people"

There's a version with Max von Sydow (looking p handsome) that's alright, but it's from the 70's or so and the effects are really dated. There's an interesting animation in a sort of Fantastic Planet style at the start http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YwDGVP1tMTg

I don't know if this would really be possible to film but there are a lot of visual effects in Dante's Paradiso that would be interesting to see on film.

this samples Something Wicked This Way Comes, I 'spose
