Hey /lit/, I've wrote a poem and I want you to read it.

"metempsychosis"

remember a joyful monochrome shiver when I could extend my fingers in splay

once were thoughts of the future as bright projections out the middle of my formless place

now is the binding of limbs through gravity pull contorting me compacted backward into a sphere

full hollow weight of reality weighing the eyelids down with distortion

the monochrome shiver a blur in 7 places all a fraction of a whole translucent

reminders to a memory of a feeling now forgotten rotate in pinwheel turn

sensation of head and skin bolstered inward bottled into a core like molten orb

because no minutes for feel because only minutes for do

blanket of youth’s ignorance no longer covering, hovering untouching diffused into vapor cloud orbiting

joy unknown in this time of full knowing as me a pale moon for you
