It really wasn't sad for me.

Murakami's content sucks, but the atmosphere is good for "feels". Uhm ... I always recommend White Oleander, but /lit/ is allergic to female authors. Give it a try. Really, do. It's tragic. Also the Shakespearean tragedies. House of Sand and Fog.
