Someone posted on here a few days ago asking where he should start with philosophy, and someone recommended something of Aristotle's. I was wondering if anyone remembers this thread or if you could tell me where to start as well.

There are "HELP WHERE SHOULD I START IN PHILOSOPHY" threads every. Fucking. Day.

Stop it.

I don't see why you would start with Aristotle.

Read Plato's Apology. Begin your journey.

Start with Plato's Dialogues, they've been the most convenient introduction to philosophy for the longest time. Read The Nicomachean Ethics, the Organon, and Metaphysics if you're getting into the history of it all.

I think that it's seeming to be that how you're introduced doesn't wholly matter, just that you don't stick to one single philosopher or philosophy without looking for criticism and expansion. You might be fine to read from whoever interests you.

This is by no means definitive, but it's somewhat comprehensive.
