Hey /lit/

So, quick question: listening to books while riding the bike, yes/no?

I'm a triathlete training for my first ironman, but I'm also interested in literature. I generally avoid listening to music when on the bike as it makes things a bit more unsafe, but I was thinking that perhaps I could throw a book on my iPod and listen to that? Those 6-7 hour training rides might get lonely.

Thanks!

Unless you're riding a stationary bike, I can't imagine how you could pay attention to an audio book and be safe on your bike at the same time.

It's literally 3 sentences. How about reading the thread instead of embarrassing yourself, retard

I dont see why not. Instead of going on the street though why not use the track at a school or something?

I listen to music while driving so I don't see how it would be any different. Just use your eyes man!

Kill yourself.

OP I think it depends on what kind of environment this cycling is taking place in. Tons of cars? Then audiobooks might not be such a great idea.

I'd like to help you OP, but I'd really rather you run into a bus and die.

I try to avoid cars always, but I'm really more worried about being able to focus on what's being read to me and if the wind will make it too difficult to hear. I could just test it out, but I thought perhaps some of you had some experience.
