>People who read through books in a single day like cheap entertainment, and then forgetting everything by the end of the week

>> No.3149416

suck my dick with this stupid judgmental nonsense. fucking do the best you can for yourself, stop fucking judging others to make yourself feel superior. there's nothing wrong in itself with being entertained. there's nothing to get angry about. it's pure fucking snobbishness. people should read good shit; that doesn't mean that they can't also read forgettable, entertaining pulp. some books are cheap entertainment, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Did someone say this to you? Has this happened? Did you make sure to check if they were possessed?

If a book is read through and you can't even remember what it was about, let alone its message or any other detail for interesting discussion, what the hell was the point?

>> No.3149455

Some Literature like most modern media is used only to past the time.

While yes there are definitely some books that are like this and some games/movies like this you shouldn't feel bad for using it for what it is... entertainment.

If you want to hold on to that one book that made you feel thousands of feels that's fine; however, I'm sure you don't do this with every book. Its the same with movies, music, etc.

Shut up that question keeps me up at night. I'll be happily drifting off to sleep then that thought will pop into my head and I'll have panic attacks until I get up and do something else.

I do this. I fold the spines of paperbacks as well. The physical aspect of the book isn't important, it's the text.

As do I. I can just get another copy if it gets unreadable. The text is the most important thing, the paper and ink? Cheap.
