How many library cards do you have?

>> No.3133833

I have one library card and one login for Bibliotik. I haven't used my library card in a year

>> No.3133853

>>3133833
Could you find us some things on Bibliotik that aren't on #bookz and make a sharethread?

>> No.3133857

I get the books I want to read from the internet and from my uncle. I don't need the library at the moment.

>> No.3133861

Four, maybe five next week.

>> No.3133863

none. none library cards.

>> No.3133880

I prefer to buy books.

I have a psychological problem with reading books that hundreds of other people have read on the toilet.

>> No.3133885

One, but I rarely ever go since it's in a poor area and the selection is dismal. Lots of how-to books (Real Estate Investing for Dummies, Beginner's HTML, GED study guides, stuff like that) and surface biographies of MLK, JFK and Hellen Keller. Most people go there for internet usage.

Shit nigga, I'm the total opposite.
I rejoice whenever I pick a used book.

Just library books turn me off. They're the whores of the book world. Used books, however, have only been through a divorce or two. I have sex with my books.

>> No.3133917

Just one, for my university library. I'm out of city limits for the local public one, and it costs like $30 a month to get one if you aren't in city limits (which is ridiculous).

I use the fuck out of my university library's inter library loan system. It's how I get the majority of the more obscure books I want to read. I'm going to be sad when I no longer have access to this - there's a nearby public library that does it, but only borrows from other libraries within the state. So I won't be able to get a lot of books.

Stupid question, I haven't been to uni (yet) but I thought university libraries only carried non fiction books for study? Is it normal for uni libraries to stock novels?

>> No.3134208

Two, one for my uni library one for my state library.

I like when I get a book that has stuff written in it. Its like I have a friend to read with.

>> No.3134209

>>3133967
I don't see why they wouldn't carry novels too, seeing as there are people who study literature. They would need to be reading novels in addition to criticism.

But yeah, there's fiction too.

4

Card from my hometown
Senate House Library card
Saison Poetry Library card
University ID card

One for my nearest library, one for the large city closest to me, one for my university (same as my school ID) and one that I have from when I lived on the other side of the US for a while.

OP in charge of racking up the lines then.

They generally have fiction, too. Maybe not the popular stuff that a lot of city/state libraries carry, but they definitely have a lot of fiction.

>> No.3134366

One for my city's public library, one for my high school library

>> No.3134392

4. One for the city library system (best library system nearby), the county library system (meh), my old community college (pretty good, but I don't know if they'd still let me use it), and then one for a county ~6 hours away, which I visit often (the branch of the library I visit there is like the size of an apartment...Bad selection but better entertainment than anything else around there, aside from wandering around in the woods)

Maybe I should start collecting library cards...

>> No.3134537

Four: One for the Queens library, one for the Brooklyn library, one for the NYPL, and one for the university I attend.

>>3133880
I found a book from the 1900s in my university library on how to manage a university library.

There was a hand-written note inside from the author, I couldn't read the handwriting, but I thought it was pretty cool.

>> No.3134545

>>3134392
Just 2, one for my town library, and one for my university library. I went to the town one for the first time in a year today to pick up Anna Karenina{/spoiler]

>> No.3134590

One for the university library, one for my state library and another one that works for any council library

Three: one for my neighborhood's library, one for the adjacent borough (also, a county library card in general), and one for the Free Library. Four if you count my university ID, which also functions as a library card.
