Could someone recommend a good book (or possibly audiobook) on the history of the Arab-Israeli conflict in the Middle East? Most books I find seem to be very biased or just plain useless.

Of course they are biased. There is no way of gathering information about it without getting seriously enraged.

There are no unbiased books on the arab-israeli conflict.

Okay then, perhaps some that deal with the entire history of the conflict and are favourable to the arabs

Most history textbooks you can find are going to be favourable to the arabs... just try checking out amazon and read the reviews

Finkelstein is good.

Israel hates him though.

Heard about this when it came out but haven't read it aside from flipping through in a book store. It pissed off both Arab and Isreali hardliners by debunking the contradictory myths both of them have about claiming the holy city. It starts with prehistory and works its way forward so only the last few chapters deal directly with the current conflict. However, it could be useful as background reading for other works.
