I thought that was Max Headroom for a second.

Somebody needs to p-shop Karl Marx into some kind of "Marx Headroom" parody, but I'm not the guy to do it. Any takers?

>> No.3115002

He didn't write many

This Side of Paradise
The Beautiful and Damned
The Great Gatsby
Tender is the Night
The Last Tycoon

The Beautiful and Damned is pretty good, definitely worth reading, but Tender is the Night is on a whole new level. It really is Fitzgerald at his best.

Tender is the Night is the only Fitzgerald I thoroughly enjoyed.

>> No.3115032

His short stories are good.

I think his début, This Side of Paradise, was his best.

I read This Side of Paradise my freshman year of high school and absolutely loved it, though remembering the last line now I'm not sure how I'd feel if I read it again. (It'd probably be somewhat diminished but still good.)

Tender Is The Night is some next-level Fitzgerald, but it just slogs through such a vast expanse of time. Despite its ambitions, it's probably his weakest in my opinion. The Last Tycoon, would have been his best had it been finished.
