1- Post pictures of your books.
2- Post location of this on a personal google map with a pin.

Some of them may have been mine. I discard material possessions like a snake sheds its skin, boyo.

Things to do tomorrow:
-Wake up
-Find nearest dump or recycling centre.

These used book stores have been ripping me off for long enough.

Do bookstores still have to rip the covers off anything they throw out? Used to be, they weren't allowed to throw away books intact, they had to "destroy" them before they reported them as unsold. I used to have a huge collection of coverless books I got this way.

What. That's...that's... just awful. I just figured they'd throw away unsold books or copies that were slightly damaged, not massacre them.

Theres a B&N 5 minutes from my house, I'm definitely gonna check that out now

As far as I know, we don't throw away books at the bookstore I work at.
We send most of them back for a refund.

I believe the cover-destruction was policy for books that the publisher didn't want sent back to them; instead of dealing with the cost of shipping and storing them, they requested the stores to "destroy" them and still gave them the refund for unsold stock.

I don't see as many these days as they used to, I'm thinking maybe it's not as common a practice anymore.

Throughout my life I remember having a lot of consumerist dreams, like me being a kid in a toy store and getting any and as much presents I wanted. But the best one was having access to free books and just getting as much as I wanted ;_;

Pics or didn't happen. BRING ON THE LUST.
