After looking through the recommended reading wiki, I am still having trouble deciphering what genre to look for.

This is what interests me...

1. Aburdism and nihilism (I've read The Stranger and Myth of Sisyphus already.)
2. Decay
3. Ruins/anything really ruined
4. Old things (like finding a dusty picture of your great grandmother)

Any suggestions? I know. I'm boring.

Absurdist: Beckett, Stoppard, Bulgakov
Decay: The Trial, The Maimed, Hunger
Ruins: Seems the same as "Decay"
Old Things: Victorian lit?

idk, I tried.

Thank you.

By old things, I mean, for example, finding a an abandoned house and finding broken/old belongings inside.

Sorry for not being clear. I have trouble with that.

Shelley - "Ozymandias"

a sonnet that captures the latter 3 ideas you mention quite well.

Also, absurdism and 'nihilism' are for high schoolers and dumb faggots.
