i'm wondering if anyone here has read the book of susan cain
i liked her tedtalk probably cause i'm an introvert myself:

Speaking of TedTalks, I really liked the one by Elif Shafak, whom I love but who never gets mentioned here.

[Also, Wikipedia refers to her stuff as postmodernist, though I don't see how that makes any sense - unless they literally mean "after modernism."]

So you've heard all the promotional stuff. Now find yourself a critical review, preferably academic. If there's no such thing, search out the amazon reviews for mediocre ratings. See what specialists and the targetted masses have to say.
Going by the title, the reference to TED, and Cain's professional background, I'd say it's some pop-sci trash meant for people that assume they/their children are introverts to feel good about. (How exactly can people whose focus lies away from the world be important to that world? I am assuming she means this in an economic sense as well, btw).
