Yeah, it's difficult but also extremely rewarding. Honestly, push through it and you'll be delighted you did. Remember, italicized letters means that a temporal shift has occurred, whether it's Quentin daydreaming or Benjy's fractured consciousness coming to rest at a different point. Stay away from plot summaries on the internet until the very end, no matter how tempted you are. The moment of clarity you experience about 3/4s through this novel is pretty transcendental.
