I have a What.cd invite I can swap for a Bibliotik invite. Never been on Bibliotik, but if it's anything like What.cd and other private trackers, I know how important it is to invite somebody trustworthy - I've got a 2.4 ratio on What.cd which I can prove.

Anyone?

>> No.3043176

Is bibliotik good? Does it actually have any content that I can't get elsewhere?

I'm looking for a well-formatted version of Crying of Lot 49 (well-formatted .mobi or something), and I'm looking for "Conversations with David Foster Wallace".

I had a bibliotik account when it started out but never used it cause I realized that

e-reading is for fags

Sorry OP I can't help you. I'm looking for one as well.

both are there in epub, probably decent formatting, I didn't bother to check, not flagged as retail though.

Wow. I've looked all over for the Conversations with Wallace and couldn't find it.

How do I get into this thing?

>> No.3044875

To be honest bibliotik is fucking shit. The content is good but there's no easy way of browsing. With most trackers you can see what's popular with a top 10 or something. Not with bibliotik.

The forums are dead, the website is shit, but the content is its saving grace. Once something superior comes along I'll be jumping ship. Fuck bibliotik.

So is bibliotik the best ebook tracker? I'm hunting through the internet now trying to find an invite.

>> No.3044904

>>3044896
bibliotik is the only ebook tracker that I know about, the only specialized one that is. When they first came back up from being offline a few months ago they had some invite threads on other private trackers I think. But I'm not sure these days.

A book isn't just a collection of words.
An ebook is not a book.
It's not that difficult.

The words are the only thing that are important. The author didn't create the book to be a scultpture to be fetishized.

Oh, I'd love to get some retail ebooks. The sheer power one would have from downloading just whatever one happens to choose would be immense.

It seems to have the most content of any ebook tracker I've seen, but My AnonaMouse is also a great option for an ebook tracker (though it also has audiobooks). It's also significantly easier to get an invite to MAM, which may be a pro or con depending on your perspective.

Not asking for an invite.
Only if someone who has access to bibliotik could look if they have 'Cynicism from diogenes to dilbert' from Ian Cutler please?
And if they have it, upload it on megaupload or something.

Lol, Im not even half way to being able to invite.

If you guys want ebooks, just join a local library with overdrive. Its better than piracy, although I do love my bibliotik (content). That said, the forums and community are dominated by a particularly insular group of web nazis who are all vips and power users, so its pretty hard to rise to the top.

When I see these posts about people needing books, I don't know why /lit/ does not have a private tracker. I'd be seeding all day.

Is it free to set up one?

>> No.3045840

>>3045834

I saw it's not free (as I expected). If we invest so much money in books, we should all put 1$ to get on private tracker, one invitation and then share. I see it.

>> No.3045846

>>3045834
The problem is that all of us combining our ebook collections would result in quite a small collection. People want in to bibliotik because it has an extensive library.

The solution is for all of us to get on bibliotik, but as an anon mentioned above, he gave out a bunch of invites and the result was all the accounts being closed due to inactivity.
