Whats your take on Sartre? A communist, extentialist. a philoshopher of his time.

If he hadn't been a Communist, he wouldn't have been famous

From a pure historical view, he was one of the most influential philosophers in the 20th century. He carried on the tradition of phenomenology and was greatly influenced by Heidegger. He was not really a communist, as anyone would know if they read his book, "Existentialism is A Humanism". I would say his ideas and philosophy lack the rigor of analytic philosophers, but it is easy to overlook his illogical tendencies in some respects. I suggest reading at least the book I mentioned above, just to be familiar with his work.

Hello Married Oldfag

Had to delete the nudity. Some mods will ban for that.

Sartre was a hack who made a career out of misreading Heidegger. He wasn't even the smartest person in his own bed.

No I'm serious. You're either a very elaborate troll or so shitty that you manage to take all of the shittiest qualities of /lit/ posters and shit them together into one shitrageously shitty identity. I suspect that there are actual several posters operating under the same monicker, each specializing in a particular area of shittiness. I'd filter your posts but I'm morbidly interested in how impossibly, perfectly shitty you are. So I guess keep it up?
