Are there any role play writers on /lit/?

I used to do sexual RP but I'm a creep and ruined all of it.

one time, I pretended to be Yuffie for an ERP. My partner had never ERP'ed before.

He left about 5 minutes into it.

I used to para form roleplay for hours every night.

It honed my writing skills, though I haven't done it in years now.

Why do you ask?

Paragraph form roleplay is more /lit/ than /tg/ I think.

/tg/ tends to frown on free-form.

Any chance you could expand on this? I didn't know there were different formats. I've never been to /tg/ but I was looking for a place to vent about rp stuff. I started rping a few months ago, basically each post is two lines to three paragraphs long depending on the scenario.

Sounds like paragraph form to me. Back when I did it there were pretentious fucks who would spend a paragraph describing how they opened the doorknob and shit, but way I see it if your character doesn't do much then one or two sentences will be fine.

There were also the more "simplified" forms around, back when I played, referred to as T1 and T2. These were based more around combat with very little character depth or interaction beyond combat.

The difference between JRPGs and Planescape: Torment, is the best way I can describe it.

I didn't know there were still active roleplayers of that type around these days. I thought the death of yahoo user rooms heralded the end of the golden age of para-form roleplay.

Just go to omegle and type RP and Roleplaying as your likes. Post results

Nah they're still around. People meet up on places like tumblr and rp on skype and AIM. Or just straight on tumblr.

Well, it's good to know there is still an active community.

I've turned the lessons I learned in my days among said community to writing actual stories.

All the same, I wish the best to the newest generation of roleplayers. It's a fun hobby for an aspiring writer and a great way to get practice.
