put it in a bag with dryer sheets overnight?
worth a try.

>> No.2978293

Perhaps leaving it open outside will help it air out a little. Don't leave it in the sun though.

>> No.2978295

Try baking soda in a plastic box? Put the book in and let it sit overnight.

Buy a goddamn ereader.

but why would you not like the smell
apparently cat litter can also work as long as you don't have it touching the actual book

>> No.2978315

You don't *like* new-book smell?
What's wrong with you?

>> No.2978329

>>2978279
i dont have dryer sheets

>>2978293
no, it will probably get shit on by the birds pissed on by feral cats

>>2978295
i dont have backing soda

>>2978298
no, all you need is light to read a book, to read an ereader you need electricity. plus, id rather read it on my pc then some stupid tablet thing

>>2978311
nope, i dont have a cat or litter for it.

>>2978315
i dont like inhaling toxic chemicals, if you do, thats your problem kid.

Dude, a Kindle has so much fucking battery power and uses basically none of it ever. All it does is impose a new set of black "e-ink" onto the white screen when you flip the page. That is its only function.
By the time it actually gets to critical power you are so surprised you just sit there agape.
And then you read it for another fucking day and it's still good.
Charging it overnight whenever you remember is more than enough.
It fits in your hand perfectly, it's small, cardboard-thin, and unlike with physical books, you can pirate - they all come in convenient DRM-free .mobi files, .epub files if it's a Nook.
And it allows you to have like two thousand books with you at once.
At this point there is literally no reason to use paper books, tree-killing faggot.

>> No.2978344

I'd sacrifice every tree on the planet before I became an e-reading faggot.

have a cry over some paper, you hippy shit cunt. have a cry i dont want to convert to team e-reader. team paper all the way!

any adults have suggestions as to getting rid of this smell?

>> No.2978351

put it in the freezer for a few hours

>> No.2978356

Though you don't have baking soda at the moment, your best bet would probably be to get some when you can. Dryer sheets or potpourri would mask the scent, but that would likely still bother your nose. Baking soda on the other hand should absorb the scent.
