Just read the stranger.
Thoughts about his works?

I just finished the stranger and I'm about to start the plague. I had no idea who Camus was when I read it. I only bought it because I had seen him everywhere. It blew me away. An existential masterpiece in my opinion. Last line was the greatest.

Albert Camus supported French imperialism, so it's a terrible book.

i really liked that because the writing and the story are really filled with the sense of alienation

How?

Is it bad that Albert Camus is my favourite philosopher simply because he looks really dapper? I haven't read any of his books.

That's perfectly viable. It would be bad if you had read Camus as well as others and you'd still base your opinion on that.
