It is recorded, on this day, and this hour, that Margaret Atwood said the word "pussy."

Almost as good as her descriptions of child pornography in Oryx & Crake.

Is Oryx & Crake any good?

Hell, are there any Atwood books worth reading? I'm spending the term living with my parents and they have a whole fuckload of them.

Read Oryx and Crake. If you like that, continue until you hate her. Worked for me.

Blind Assassin was a moody book. They're OK if you're feeling up for some feminist literature. If you aren't, stay well away.

I liked it, but I couldn't call it top 10 material for me.

It didn't really inspire me to read the rest of her work, but it's a well-realized setting that definitely gets some of the worries about modern tech trends right, but (general spoiler) maybe overextends in terms of drawing a trajectory for society's downfall.

It's certainly a good read, I liked it. It's just not a game-changer for me.

Also, just a footnote, my mom is the person who recommended the book to me, and I think that speaks well of her.
