“Come play with me Daddy.”

Navidson lifts his daughter onto his lap. “Okay. What do you want to play?”

“I don’t know,” she shrugs. “Always.”

“What’s always?”

But before she can answer, he starts tickling her around the neck and Daisy dissolves into bursts of delight.

Despite the tremendous amount of material generated by Exploration A, no one has ever commented on the game Daisy wants to play with her father, perhaps because everyone assumes it is either a request “to play always” or just a childish neologism.

Then again, “always” slightly mispronounces “hallway.”

It also echoes it.

I've never been able to finish this. I keep meaning to but the non-linear format is a lot of work to keep up with.

I'm not ashamed to admit my eyes popped out at this part.

Fuck, man. I didn't even really like the book in retrospect but that part freaked me out, not gonna lie.

Did people not like them?

I liked the story, and I thought it was an interesting change of pace from the dry essay portion. Plus he talks about cumming on a chick's tits that's hella sweet bro.

How's his other book, Only Revolutions?

Heard it's shit, not read it, though.

I'm more curious about the Fifty Year Sword.

Like any of his work, it's a nifty concept that breaks the boundry of how a book works but sacrifices a focus on story because of the novelty. You care more about the actual book than the story within it.

In the end that's not a TERRIBLE thing, it's just different and might not be to everyone's tea

No because it's out of place and reads like a bad rip-off of a Chuck Palahnuik novel.

Did you expect the book to read in a linear fashion?

Too bad it all goes downhill after the echo chapter.

I liked the chapter where he rode the bike through the 5 and a half minute hallway.

I need to read this again
