I'm considering purchasing 'Word Virus: The William S. Burroughs Reader'. Has Burroughs written many good essays or are most of his good texts fictional?

I've only read Naked Lunch and the Nova Trilogy. Naked Lunch is good, the Nova trilogy is shit. In the 3 novels that make up the nova trilogy, burroughs uses a technique called the cut up technique and it ruins those novel considerably. for more information on the cut up method, watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NU3dIdqIBw
not all the nova trilogy is cut ups, but its a big enough portion to ruin the experience of the books which is sad because there are some good moments in the nova trilogy. Find out how much of the novel you want to read uses this technique and stay away from it if uses it a lot. believe me the cut up technique is retarded and basically makes the passage unreadable.
