It's not that bad. It's better than Twilight, and while I'm not saying it's better than Battle Royale, I haven't heard many good things about Battle Royale. IDK why don't you read it and tell us what you think OP?

I recently read all 3 in the series, liked them all. The 3rd (last) book was my favorite. Mewonders if the publisher wanted to stretch 2 books into a trilogy though, because the 2nd book feels contrived, like it follows a formula derived in the 1st. I haven't seen the movie yet.

Shit book. Simple story line, terrible characters, written for teens. There are much better dystopian society novels out there OP. Go read one of those.
