The problem with philosophy is that everyone has a philosophy of their own, or thinks they do. Every moron who has smoked a spliff thinks he can debate Kant with the best of them, or at least that he has something to say. The benefit of having philosophy be part of the /lit/ board as it is now, is that we can assume anyone her who wants to discuss philosophy already is the kind of person who, y'know, READS BOOKS.

A /phil/ board would be an unending tempest of shitposting, trolling, and constant arguments that go nowhere.
