Wow. WTF happened to #bookz?
When did the IRC suddenly turn to shit?

>> No.2928507

what do you mean bro? what's up with it?
i haven't been on the last week or two, but it seemed to be alright back then.

>> No.2928780

A lot of the bots died which really kills the selection.

#ebooks on IRCHighway is almost as good.

Ebrarian is no longer there. Say goodbye to your books.

>> No.2930574

I'm talking about the fact I no longer get a .txt file listing all the choices, but rather have to wait quite a long time for those with the books to download to send me all those that meet my search criteria. It's awful.

Can someone who has access to bibliotik look if they have 'Cynicism from diogenes to dilbert' from Ian Cutler please?
And if they have it, upload it on megaupload or something.

5000 active members, and only ones who get invites are power users with over 100gb of EBOOKs uploaded get invites.

Good luck

>> No.2933093

That feel when I had a bibliotik account when it started up and downloaded a couple books and never read them because e-reading is for fags.

Apparently the account got deleted. And nothing of value was lost.

>> No.2933130

OP i noticed that too, but I just assumed the problem was my end

anyone got any decent alternatives?

My bibliotik account is invaluable to me. Great community, feels like a sharing group instead of a torrent site, small enough to fly under the radar. There are people there who's whole hobby is to get whole overdrive systems digitally archived. Very impressive

I used to use demonoid pretty much consistently. What the fuck do I do now?

This also. Luckily I have enough shit I want to read that I'll not need to download for a long time. This bibliotik seems interesting and I'm not upset that I'm not part of it though.

There are probably 100 people that can give invites. I bought mine off an arab who sells torrent invites for 30 bucks that my hungarian coder knows. I have done my best to become a valuable part of the community

They upload PDFs and entire librarys worth of ebooks. Also, if you fufill requests of ebooks that dont exist you can collect gigabytes of bounty that add to your total

>> No.2935336

I probably have a few gigabytes just because of a huge math text book folder I have and large collections of ebooks I've downloaded.
100gb seems excessive though.

Pic related, my books without trying. I can imagine that someone who puts in an effort can achieve godly amounts of books.

>> No.2935441

Yes. This is what happens when one downloads textbooks/image-heavy-pdfs. Also, when one downloads huge torrents consisting of hundreds of thousands of ebooks in the hopes they'll find things that interest them and know they'll never run out of things to read.

>> No.2936166

I have invites and I haven't uploaded 100gb of anything. So, nope, that's bullshit.

Of course, no way in hell would I randomly invite people from 4chan.

OK, so, is there any other way for getting a Bibliotik invite since so many sissies won't share with their fellow anon?

Perhaps Twitter, or some irc channel? (once I got the impression you could get them on #bibliotik-invites)

What username did you choose? If it was me that gave it to you I would like to say a big fuck you for never using it and losing me an invite.

Zadie Smith used that Past is Prologue shit really well in White Teeth.
