Moral nihilism is only the truth in ethics.

Give me one good reason to think there's no such thing as right and wrong.

"_____ is the only true thing. prove me wrong" cancerthread.
It's not even the statement that is the problem in these threads, its the "I'm an atheist debate me" attitude.

>> No.2840210

Right and wrong is stupid. We should be concerned about what's helpful and what's harmful instead

yeah, lets use definitions and partial synonyms for words instead of the original words!

Incorrect. Right and wrong are determined instinctively/intuitively, whereas helpful and harmful can only be determined by reason. This is the difference between morals and ethics

>Right and wrong are determined instinctively/intuitively

So we can't apply reason to determine whether something is right?

The way someone feels badly when you wrong them. Their emotions manifest from energy that constitutes a universal body of energy; this is the only true universal entity, and the only source of truth, as anything local and arbitrary will not hold up without specific regard to context. You obviously feel isolated, but I'm sure you read books or at least listen to music. The pleasure you derive from these activities is based on connection, which can only be facilitated through energy. Facilitating universal connection is "right," anything to the contrary is "wrong." Try to be good.

There's is no objective right or wrong from the univers(al) standpoint.

Your subjective concepts of right and wrong have no basis.

I don't believe myself in the dichotomy of right and wrong, but this is just plain stupid.

Ha, I totally misread your original post. I thought it was in favor of abandoning right and wrong. Sorry, I'm sorta lying on my couch in a daze.

Here's a reason: Unless you are not nihilist you are at risk of giving a fuck.

Well subjective concepts do have a basis actually. It's usually the consensus, which is fuelled by an evolutionary impulse (pure or distorted, but existent nonetheless) to survive and live in safety
