Ooooh, Survivor's a good one. I'd say that and Choke are my favorites of his. As for Kurt, you need to read Breakfast of Champions. I actually think Sirens of Titan is Vonnegut's best. It's certainly his most comprehensive, and everything sort of comes together in the end more than it does in his other books. I realize that the open-endedness in his other books is intentional, but I just love that book so much.

But it needed to be a jumbled mess, that's the whole point. If you try to tackle the world as a whole with art, you'll be all over the place and stumbling. On the opposite end, the minimalist artist was as vague as possible and you can put anything into that, any interpretation possible. By writing it as a jumbled mess he was showing exactly what happens when you try to tell every story possible: it's disorganized and impossible.

As my thread on moo isn't progressing in any way:

Sup /mu/

I just had the weirdest dream in my life. I was somehow involved in a murder plot and me and my father were 2 detectives. A guy named Francis was going to kill Nelson Mandela at some fancy dinner and we were hired to stop Francis.
So we get to the fancy dinner and we're standing on the balcony so we can see all the attendants of the dinner.
My father has the gun with which he is going to shoot Francis and as soon as he sees him in the crowd he shoots him in the head 3 times with his little pistol from like 30 yards away. He then, in a flash, sees the BASED GOD at the dinner too and shoots BASED GOD in the head as well.

We both go down to the room were the dinner was to check out if we did any collateral damage. All the people are gone and the only things that are left are the 2 corpses of Francis and MY FUCKING GRANDPA.
Over his back, my grandpa had a text written. It said "BASED,OKAY?" in his own fucking blood.
And then I woke up.

Opinions?

For /mu/tants that like jamming punk and reading about punk, check out Please Kill Me: An Oral History of Punk.

It surveys both origins of American and British Punk. Great stuff.

A bit.

It can be great (post-minimalism, impressionism), but minimalism & avant-garde music I think put good music second and concept first which was a grave error but the 10% of /mu/ that listens to classical eats that shit up. 12 tone & atonal music doesn't bother me much, I can enjoy it sometimes.
