American Gods, is it good? I'm about a third of the way in and I can't decide. Is there anything Gaimen wrote that's good that I should read?

Hell yes its good!! ITS GREAT!!! And thats not just this humble fellows opinion. Its considered his best novel.

I love this book and he just recently started working on the sequel which im stoked for.

Also Tom Hanks' production company is making an HBO series out of it. Cant wait to see the cast list.

american gods is more satisfying though

I thought it was awful. Gaiman is not a good novel writer.

Sandman is great, though.

Is the movie based on that? Village of Wall, fallen star is a hot babe etc?

From what I understand the book was a lot darker and there were a decent amount of changes in the movie but the basic plot was about the same

Just read it. Definitely enjoyed it, but I'm not necessarily any kind of literature expert.
