I'm a straight guy who likes Harry Potter and I liked Divergent. Not enough to rush out and buy/read the sequel or anything, but it was a fun read. It's more like Hunger Games than Harry Potter or Dan Brown (from what I understand) though. I know Hunger Games gets shit on here, but it's better than Divergent.

you know op, by alleging that Harry Potter readers are homos, you're discouraging men from early reading, since they'll fear ridicule.

You are what's wrong with society op. I just hope this post is one step in your ultimate realization of that.

I never meant to call Harry Potter a homo thing, I heard divergent is

Harry Potter was my first "big" book ... back when I was like 10... and I loved every book no shame

I don't like those cosplaying weirdos tho.

OP, if you read and like Divergent (I thought it was pretty ok. Good concept, entertaining read if you want something fast and fun) then check out Matched by Allie Condie. Sorta the same vein as Hunger Games and Divergent.
