Anne Frank's Diary has to be the most overrated piece of propaganda I've ever read...

Think about it. If she actually wrote it you're just reading the thoughts of a stupid teenage girl. If she didn't it's just propaganda to make you feel sorry about the jews.

This. At its earliest parts, it's a little shaky (she was fucking 12, so whatever), but the Uncensored Version (not the maroon-cover version edited by Otto Frank that everyone reads in school) has some rather enlightened thoughts on sex for the time, as one example.

yes and yes, it is the thoughts of a random teenage girl, it's also a first hand account of a persecuted jew living in hiding under the threat of the Nazis during WWII. Like it or not it's historically relevant, and much better written than your AVERAGE teenage girl's diary.
