To the Aspies that gave me shit in the literary turn-offs thread:

I listed a few qualities which discourage me from reading any given book (discourage, not lifetime ban). I asked for recommendations of books WITH those qualities in order to dispel the misgivings I currently hold.

Yes, they are somewhat irrational but I was looking to get over them. This should be encouraged. I am an 18 year old that is trying to explore the world of literature. 'Best of...' lists were not what I was looking for. I included a picture which detailed books I have read along with rough ratings, hoping that you would use that information alongside your literary knowledge to recommend books (fulfilling the aforementioned criterion) especially for me.

It seems this was a foul move on my part. Perhaps I really am retarded and so can not understand why trying to broaden the spectrum of literature I can appreciate is such a villainous thing to do.

My sincerest apologies. Perhaps I should spend some time in the long johns thread and hope the wisdom of /lit/ rubs off onto me.

Piss off you attention seeker

I don't care whether you learn to like good books or not, and I refuse to waste any time trying to help you.

This.

I gave you good suggestions in the other thread, OP.

I was being ignored in the last thread. Also, this is a new avenue of conversation which merits a new thread.

Steering people towards good literature is a waste of time? It's sad you think that.

>>2799234

Old thread started to bloat with inanity. If they read my post properly they would have realised I was asking for books with X rather than those without.

>>2799238

I recall one person listing three books, I appreciate that.

Why should I care about your reading habits?

I am a person

What people read affects what they do

What people do is important

You should care about my reading habits enough to make a few recommendations
