Where are some places i can submit short stories?

Either physical magazines or sites like TAR.

>> No.2762323

Everywhere from the lav door in the men's room to magazines like Esquire, you can even submit to Harold Bloom if it so takes your fancy.

As always.

>> No.2764223

more like "write more shittily"

am I right?

i feel like i improved between my first piece and my second but w/e i guess

i don't know whether they contact you if your piece is included or don't if it isn't, or vice-versa, so i'm not entirely sure this time if i'm in or not

>> No.2764242

Hell I would take that as a compliment.

I was under the impression that TAR only accepted the worst of the offal pile for publication.

It's ok, you got rejected, relax, there's always next time.

I'm intrigued what were your pieces?

>> No.2764275

Do you usually contact people if they've been included? Or should I just wait until the issue and be surprised?

>> No.2764278

>>2764269
Some authors, we have by mere coincidence more contact with, they usually get a little bit more information.

If you're really curious about why you got rejected or if you are selected. I'd suggest you mail us and ask.

We aren't a tight-lipped organization.

The one about the homosexual mountain goat wearing a Viking helmet, and the one about the talking cow with downs syndrome going for a job interview at burger king.

As an example I can say that we contacted Andrew Mendelson this issue and asked him to withdraw his submission - since it wasn't up to standards this time.

>>2764284
That's a blatant lie. That would never get rejected.

>> No.2764299

>>2764278

Eh, I've already waited most of the month. Might as well wait until the issue comes out for that glorious moment of judgement. Thanks for the info tho

I don't want to be rude but that doesn't look all that spectacular.
