Nope, just weak. Don't worry. Just keep your standards impossibly high as far as cheepness goes and soon, 2 for 1 will seem like a joke.

For the B&N Classics? I enjoyed that deal.
I bought Moby Dick, Anna Karenina, The Brother Karamazov, The Possessed, The Idiot, and Notes from the Underground.
2 of those 6 were free, and the other 4 were 30% off because of my employee discount.
Quite the good deal.

Well, I don't work there, but I'm moving soon and am afraid I won't be able to find a good library or bookstore where I'm going. So I made a small stockpile that should last me until I get settled in and find my way around. I bought a couple doorstoppers and another. My small haul was Moby Dick, Herodotus' Histories, and Notes from Underground.

2 weeks, but I am also starting a new job and won't have nearly as much time to sit around and read for leisure.

Oh, fuck, you said where. Madison, WI.

They do that deal all the time here in the UK.

Last time I entered a book shop that did it I bought Leviathan, Paine's works and The Prince. That was a good day. They usually do this deal on some pretty decent literature.

Buy online, bookstores (that sell new) rip you off.

bookdepository.com - Free worldwide shipping and cheap as fuck prices, you can't beat them. Afaik they're owned by Amazon, so they're quick, too.

Not always. If you're reading literature that was translated from another language, you can end up missing some things if you have a dodgy edition with bad translators.

You're definitely going to be able to find something there. I live in Green Bay, which is smaller, and there are still around a dozen bookstores.

Scotfag here, haven't bought a book in a standard retail store for a long time now. Regularly shop at this multi-media store owned by HMV called Fopp, which does books/films/music and all that. The book prices are great though, £2/£3 per book and the stock is often surprisingly good. Think they buy up surplus stock from other sellers for cheap and then sell it on, last time there I got;

Brave new World
Lolita
Do Androids dream of electric sheep
Generation A
and Dice Man for £11 total, all new copies.

The alternate sellers on Amazon tend to be much cheaper than any deal

>tfw when you never pay more than half price for anything.
