ITT: two Japanese authors.

What do you of Natsume Soseki's Sanshiro, /lit/? I'd never heard of it. Have any of you?

Also, Roshomon by Ryunosuke Akutagawa.

Are these any good?

Check out some Dazai and Murakami. I think you'll like them a lot.

Been meaning to look into Soseki myself

Sanshiro
>Ended up shouthing at the damn book towards the end.
>Act man act, tell her about it, tell her everything you feel!
I'm yet to read anything else by him though

Akutagawa
>I prefered the film for "In a grove"
>Rashomon was good
>Nose was interesting, if a bit silly
>The golden dragon ascension was very good, but a little too religious for my liking
If he has something that's not a short story, then I'm yet to read it

Murakami
>Norweigan wood, such a depressing novel, but it clears your mind after it's four suicides
>1Q84 books one and two don't seem to have much in terms of effect on me. While I enjoy the referencing to songs, other novels, continuation of his thoughts on thoughts from his other works, I don't think this is literature.
