I'd agree with this.

Most Mericans seem to think the entire value of the book is summed up at its ending. Most of the time I agree this is the wrong way to read a book.

That said, I can think of a few books where the ending of the book was so off putting I never touched the author again. I'm not saying its off putting endings. I'm talking about troll endings.
