Maybe he was reading it ironically. Professor Hipster. Did you question him?

>> No.2680135

Your professor doesn't need to prove how intelligent and superior he is by looking down on popular literature like you do, OP. He has a doctorate for that.

You know why I read all the Twilight books?

So I could know about what I was talking about when I told people it was shit.

Research, OP, its what people with degrees do.

Not same guy. I read the first three chapters and some others throughout. The page long descriptions of how pretty people are were too much. Seriously, how long can two people just stare at each other? In fact, the movie did an effective job of streamlining the book and making it a basic teen love story with vamps thrown in. But then she starts trying to write an intricate plot...

>> No.2680179

Maybe he was reading it out of curiosity. See what the fuss is about and what not.

I know. It's easily one of the worst things I've read, at some point in the reading it sort of transcended itself and became this seeming masterpiece of shlock and camp. Such utter trash, and I began to enjoy it as such. The movies were less tolerable and just gut-wrenching, imo.

If they make mistakes like that than they shouldn't be teaching.
