tldr help me decide what book(s) to buy.

I have a $25 Walmart gift card. It turns out that they have a pretty good selection of books online. I'll list the titles I'm considering along with their price. Feel free to make other recommendations if you would like.

David Foster Wallace's Infinite Jest ($24 hardcover)
Plato's Euthyphro, Apology, Crito, and Phaedo ($12 paperback)
Aldous Huxley's The Doors of Perception & Heaven and Hell ($9 paperback)
Cormac McCarthy's The Road ($11 paperback)
Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian ($10 paperback)
Hunter S. Thompson's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Other American Stories ($12 hardcover)

Plato and Blood Meridian.
Or Blood Meridian and HST but I don't know what's in that collection besides F&L.

just looked up the HST collection on Amazon. It's not as many stories as it could be but Strange Rumblings and Kentucky Derby are both god-tier HST. I'd go with Fear and Loathing and Blood Meridian.

Huxley.

It also contains "Jacket Copy for Fear and Loath-
ing in Las Vegas," "Strange Rumblings in Aztlan," and "The Kentucky Derby Is Deca-
dent and Depraved." I'd like to point out that I've never read any HST before nor have I seen the Fear and Loathing movie.

IJ or Blood Meridian & Plato

Sorry about the formatting there.

How good is Infinite Jest?

I loved it. It's a long read but very worth it.

Though it's something of a love-it-or-hate-it kind of book, in my experience.

Fear and Loathing in LV and Huxleys doors
I don't know any other books from that list, but these two are good

Fear and Loathing is a good, wuite short but very entertaining book
Doors... well it's hard to describe (also, it's been a while since I've read it) but it's definitively worth the read

for the 4$ left buy some bookmarks or some shit
Bookmarks are awesome
They let you, like, find the page where you left, INSTANTLY!!
I know, it sounds crazy, but they actually work!
