Does anyone have those "How to get into 'X' author" infographics? I remember when people first started making and posting them a few months ago, but I never saved them. If anyone reading this has them, could you dump them in this thread or upload them to the /lit/ wiki?

Thanks in advance.

I made that! I kind of regret implying that Gravity's Rainbow is like, the final trial and you need to triumph all the other books to read that one. Some people say that's true, although I read GR before anything else by him. I was confused at first; I enjoyed individual scenes, which were a little more cohesive upon a second reading, but I enjoyed his surreal narratives and some great prose. On the second part, when the plot actually kinda takes off, I got into it more. It's no Finnegans Wake.

In the little description on the path leading towards Vineland and Inherent Vice, I probably should have added, "...but not as good," although I should probably lead the reader to judge for himself.

Some people have expressed disapproval for some choices in the Next Steps section. You're probably right. I dunno. We can make a version 2.0 and you guys, who surely have a wealth of knowledge of literature, can make more fitting recommendations.

Hi OP, I am the creator of the original author flowchart thread. I've seen a number of threads like yours over the past few weeks, too bad the original thread didn't really take off.

You can find all of the flowcharts here: http://4chanlit.wikia.com/wiki/Recommended_Reading_Charts_(by_Author)
