So I just finished reading Stephen King's IT, and I have just one question:

What the fuck? Why did they need to gangbang the 11 year old girl?

What did this scene add to the story?

I just don't get it. Someone explain this to me.

He obviously thinks that everyone who reads a 1000+ pages book like IT these days is a fucking weirdo who likes something like kids gangbanging.

Is it not true?

OP did you enjoy it?

Well I enjoyed the book, except this part struck me as being fucked up. Why the hell is it in here?

>> No.2671871

Steven King used to take drugs, and his stories had lots of genuine menace and fucked up shit. Then he stopped taking drugs, and wrote shit like "The Green Mile".

Suddenly I'm getting interested in this book.

what chapter does this happen in?

I think the funniest part is that we get to know that the fat kid's dick is a lot thicker than the others. Long time I read it, can't recall their names.

AHAHAH

Am I the only one who think it's weird that Mario Puzo's Godfather has entire chapters concerning how loose Sonny's lover's vagina is?
And how it get's fixed?

"it" is about growing up and changing from being kids to being an adult.
"it"
Like "doing it" means sex.

So they had to have a gangbang to defeat an evil transdimensional spider clown

I think the bigger question is why King had to murder the story with so much jargon which didn't have to be there.

um, it's pretty common knowledge that this is in the book. I don't think we have to prove it to you. Try reading it?

>> No.2673476

I don't know either, OP.

The more I read King, the more I realized that despite being a decent writer/storyteller, he just doesn't always have the best stories to tell.

I think he's said more than once that anyone looking for any deeper meaning in his books is over analyzing and that his writing is the literary equivalent of fast food. See: Maximum Overdrive, Cell.

Maybe it was just the drugs.
Maybe he was expressing misogyny.
Maybe it was a pedo fantasy of his.
Maybe he was trolling.

>> No.2673477

Weren't they lost in the tunnels and needed to find a way to get out? I mean, I don't know how a pre-teen gangbang would solve that predicament, but apparently it did.

Maybe it's a snide metaphor for girl's feeling lost, so they fuck a bunch of dudes, and then find themselves?

Or maybe it's just Stephen King writing whatever the fuck he wants because people will buy it.

It was about how they all needed to like become one spiritually or some shit, like trust each other on the most intimate of levels and shit like that.
It was a stretch, but he kind of explained it.

I was always a bit weirded out by that scene. It was supposed to consummate their relationship or some bullshit. I think Stephen King just has child rape fetishes.

Because one of the thing IT hated was love. Them all being intimate in the tunnels is what kept them sane and allowed them to escape.

Derry saps your memory since it is the focii for evil in the universe. Bev thinks the the only way to tie them all together is to fuck them all so that when the evil rises again they will have a point of reference to regain their former memories and kill it once and for all (and get wrecked by Ben, who was packing a 9 incher if you read the text carefully over and over).

This fails completely and they all forget except for Stan (who gets butchered by the clown) and Mike, who turns out to be the real one that ties them together as the towns librarian.

Mocking stephen king is so patrician of you guys, he wrote some solid enjoyable books. Horror is typically such shit, and he gave us Carrie, Pet Semetary (one of the only books to make me cry), the Stand, Gunslinger, The Shining, and IT. I like my Cormac McCarthy and Pynchon too, but sometimes its nice to just have a readable book with a solid story that makes you look in dark corners when you go to bed.

I mean who else writes good modern horror? Lovecraft, Dan Simmons, and Clive Barker? Maybe some weird stuff like House of Leaves? Its not that prolific a genre, you get what you get

Oh there is plenty of shit out there. Ill leave you to your "prolific" dean kuntz and twilight. As far as really good horror, there isnt much.
