What are some good books for personal development?
I'm thinking along the lines of Dale Carnegie's "How to Win Friends and Influence People"

If you want to develop personally you is going to need to go out and experience things outside your comfort zone.

That said the book has some interesting theories, if you want success in business or politics then it's a must read.

The Rules of the Game is quite good if you're an introverted shoegazer but god damn The Game has got some reputation by people who haven't even read it.

I think that in addition to, and possibly preceding, the reading of self-help books, one must develop certain fundamentals such as clarity in speech, relaxed breathing, and self-awareness through self-talk.

Working on those things alone will improve your social life.
