Don't you think that García Márquez is great, but a little overrated? I mean, he is terrific, but not the best. Better authors than García Márquez are Borges, Cortázar, Alejo Carpentier, Adolfo Bioy Casares or Juan Rulfo.

I went to his conference at the FIL Guadalajara, and seriously, I can't understand why he got the Nobel and Borges didn't.

Other than being a radical right wing person, his writting is boring and his answers at the conference were just boring. Herta Mueller was a little better, but not that great.

He's just old and desperate to confirm that he's still relevant. Like that angsty Lipovetsky ripoff he just got published.
