Why do people use these shitty e-book formats when the superior pdf format has been around for decades?? Yeah I know, because the text is "reflowable" so it can be read on an iPhone without using a loupe. But you know what they don't have? Typography!

Typography is the ART of making text look good, appealing, a pleasure to read. Have you any idea what an epub file is? A zip archive with html pages. I'm NOT making this up! Pdf stands for printable document format, because back in the bronze age when it was invented people needed a format to make documents that LOOKED GOOD ("printable"), i.e. HAD typography! "Reflowable" formats can never have typography because the fucking page size IS NOT SET! HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO TYPESET A FUCKING PAGE WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW THE FUCKING PAGE SIZE!!? YOU CAN'T!

And so, because Apple faggots HAVE to read their books on their tiny little piece of shit screens, 3000 years of Western culture is thrown on the garbage heap just like that! In exchange for what!? For NOTHING! FOR A FUCKING LOGO! BECAUSE THESE FUCKING THRALLS WERE TOLD BY THEIR MASTERS THAT THEY HAD TO! Because "It's stylish! It's fashionable! It's consumer electronics with a soul! It's for creative people! For artists!" FUCK!!

The font that my Nook uses for .pdf files is hard to read and the damn thing won't let me change it. On top of that, usually when I put a .pdf on my Nook it comes out all messed up in one way or another-bad margins, weird spacing, and all kinds of other formatting issues. .epub files work fine, though. I haven't had many problems with them.
