Fucking US war on cigarettes made them sell the brand to Republic tobacco in the US, because they were concerned about liability, and in grand US style, Republic replaced the absolutely fantastic Halfzware shag and lovely thin cigarette papers, with shredded cheap as shit bark and notebook paper.

It's probably dry because not enough people buy it and it sits on the shelf forever. But that's not what I'm talking about. The Drum tobacco and papers you get in the US today is not the same as what was in the package maybe ten years ago. The closest US distributed brand I can find (and presently smoke) is Samson.

The shit they sell as drum now is low quality, harsh, has thicker papers, and is full of stems.

Even if this was true, that would be stupid for those people to smoke. But that's not the case. I live in the upper-middle class and yet 90% of young people smoke since at least highschool here.
