Lurking this thread because I want to know how, too. I'm very self-conscious because I'm very skinny and weak and I know fuck-all about gym etiquette.

the great thing about /fitlit/ is that it reveals how both boards share the same basic motivation of compensatory online posturing.

Go join a Gold's
They will have all the equipment you need
Start a basic 5x5 starting strength routine
Bench
Squat
Deadlift

Don't get self conscious over other people being way fucking bigger than you, everyone started somewhere. Lurk. Caution about turning gay over the years.

You wanna start out small.
Go there and spend like 10-20 minutes every day lifting toothpicks. If you go full marathon in the beginning you will burn out and never return.

Neither actually. Unless you want to be fat and poor but have very strong legs.
